Cookie policy

What this policy covers

This explains the cookies and similar technologies Braiders.co.uk uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as whether you are logged in or what cookie choices you have made. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only set if you agree.

How we ask for your consent

When you first visit, you will see a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot work without them. Analytics and any other optional cookies are off until you accept them. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies in three ways:

  • Use the cookie settings link in our footer to change your choices at any time.
  • Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Every major browser lets you do this; check its help pages.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as logging in or managing a listing, from working.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so we do not rely on it. Use the cookie banner and the controls above to manage tracking instead.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the cookies we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
